TROUBLESHOOTING
Stiffer to push than standard flux
Normal — a high-tack paste carries more solids. Bring it to room temperature, fit an 18–20 G needle and use steady pressure. Do not warm it with a heat gun.
Part shifts or balls roll off before reflow
The layer is too thin, or it has already skinned over. Lay an even film and seat the part while the flux is still wet.
Residue harder to remove than standard flux
Also from the higher solids. No-clean residue may be left in place; for a clean finish use warm 99% IPA with a brush.
Flux skins over in the syringe
Remove the needle, wipe the tip and reseal the cap after every use. Store upright and capped.

HOW TO USE
1
Lay an even film of flux
Fit a needle and push gently to spread a thin, even layer over the pads or the ball side of the package. Even coverage matters more than quantity.
Even film = even tack
2
Seat the component
Place the part while the flux is still wet. The tack holds it in position through handling and the reflow ramp — no separate adhesive needed.
3
Reballing with a stencil
Print or pin-transfer flux through the preform stencil, drop the balls, then reflow. The tack keeps the array registered while the board heats.
4
Reflow
Follow the reflow profile of the solder alloy you are using — this flux does not set the profile. Hot-air rework and oven reflow are both suitable.
Profile comes from the alloy, not the flux
5
Reseal after use
Remove the needle, wipe the tip and screw the cap back on. Store upright at room temperature.
6
Clean if desired
No-clean residue is non-conductive and may stay on the board. For a clean finish, remove with warm 99% IPA and a brush.
