SN63/PB37 EUTECTIC LEADED SOLDER PASTE

DANGER · CONTAINS LEAD — For RoHS-exempt applications only (military, medical, aerospace, industrial). Not for consumer electronics under EU RoHS Directive.

Features

Description

Sn63/Pb37 is composed of 63% tin and 37% lead, formulated as a no-clean Type 4 solder paste for reflow assembly. Typical applications include hand dispensing and rework of legacy through-hole and surface-mount components, vintage PCB restoration, and assemblies covered by RoHS Annex III/IV exemptions (military, medical, aerospace, industrial control, high-reliability). Sn63/Pb37 has a eutectic melting point of 183°C (361°F).

Peak must not exceed 235°C. Use active fume extraction during reflow — lead-containing vapors are harmful.

Handling & Storage

Store refrigerated at 2–10°C (36–50°F). Do not freeze. Shelf life is 6 months from date of manufacture when stored unopened in original container. Allow 1–2 hours at room temperature (20–25°C) for the syringe to reach operating temperature before use. After opening, store upright in refrigerator; best used within 2 weeks. Store away from food, children, and pregnant individuals. Consult the Safety Data Sheet for specific handling procedures.

Flux

tinvoa Sn63/Pb37 solder paste contains an integrated synthetic no-clean flux classified as ROL0 per IPC J-STD-004 (Rosin base, Low activity, Halide-free). Halide content is below detectable limits. Metal content is approximately 89% by weight.

Cleaning

No cleaning required. The no-clean flux residue is non-conductive and non-corrosive and may remain on the assembly. If cleaning is desired, use an IPA-based solvent.

Safety

Use with adequate ventilation, active fume extraction, and proper personal protective equipment (nitrile gloves, safety glasses). Classified as H332 (harmful if inhaled), H360FD (may damage fertility/unborn child), H373 (may cause damage to organs through prolonged exposure to lead), and H410 (very toxic to aquatic life). GHS pictograms: GHS08 (Health Hazard) + GHS09 (Environment). Signal word: DANGER. Not regulated under DOT, ICAO-IATA, or IMDG. California Proposition 65 Warning: This product contains LEAD, known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm — www.P65Warnings.ca.gov. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Refer to the accompanying Safety Data Sheet for emergency information. Do not dispose of any hazardous materials in non-approved containers.
