The budget-friendly SAC305 alternative.

Lower Silver Content

0.3% Ag vs SAC305's 3.0% — meaningful cost savings on bulk runs, with solderability suited to consumer and general-purpose assemblies.

Familiar SAC Profile

Runs on a standard SAC ramp and soak. Liquidus is 227°C (vs 220°C for SAC305), so peak at 240–250°C and hold 60–90 s above 227°C.

IPC J-STD-006C Alloy

Standard SAC0307 (Sn99.0/Ag0.3/Cu0.7) composition — widely used in cost-sensitive consumer electronics.

Halide-Free No-Clean

ROL0-classified flux per IPC J-STD-004B. Non-conductive residue safe to leave on the assembly.

Fresh Date Guarantee

Manufacturing date printed on every syringe and jar — no aged or relabeled inventory.

A SAC305 profile, tuned for 227°C.

SAC0307 has a wider melt window (10°C mushy zone vs 3°C for SAC305), so profile to the 227°C liquidus and hold 60–90 s above it.

GHS hazard communication.

Lead-free value alloy. Classified under OSHA HazCom (29 CFR 1910.1200). The elements below are reproduced from Safety Data Sheet LSK-SDS-SAC0307 v1.2 (revised 2026-07-21), which is the authoritative classification.

GHS07
Skin sensitizer
Signal word: WARNING

Hazard statement

  • H317 · May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Classification: Skin sensitization — Category 1. This is the only hazard class assigned to the finished paste. The product carries no aquatic-hazard (GHS09) and no health-hazard (GHS08) classification, and is not regulated for transport by DOT, IATA, IMDG or TDG.

Precautionary statements

  • P261 · Avoid breathing dust or fumes.
  • P272 · Contaminated work clothing must not be allowed out of the workplace.
  • P280 · Wear protective gloves.
  • P302+P352 · IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water.
  • P333+P313 · If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice or attention.
  • P362+P364 · Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
  • P501 · Dispose of contents and container in accordance with applicable local, regional, national and international regulations.

Soldering fume — hazard not otherwise classified

Thermal processing generates rosin-based flux decomposition products and metal-oxide fume. Repeated or prolonged inhalation of rosin-based soldering fume may cause occupational asthma in susceptible people. Use effective source-capture local exhaust ventilation during printing, reflow, hand soldering and rework, and keep the operator's head out of the fume plume. The finished paste itself is not classified for respiratory sensitization.

SAC0307 solder paste — questions.

Can I use SAC0307 instead of SAC305?

For most lead-free work, yes — it carries a tenth of the silver (0.3% vs 3.0%), which lowers metal cost. Two differences matter: the liquidus is 227°C instead of 220°C, and thermal-fatigue resistance is lower — for automotive or harsh-environment work, choose SAC305. Use the same ramp and soak, but peak at 240–250°C (target 245°C) and hold 60–90 s above 227°C. For fine-pitch work that needs Type 5 powder, choose SAC305.

Why does SAC0307 melt over 217–227°C instead of at one temperature?

SAC0307 is a low-silver alloy, not a eutectic. It starts to melt at 217°C (solidus) but is not fully liquid until 227°C (liquidus). Profiles set to 217°C leave partly melted, grainy joints — always profile to the 227°C liquidus.

Which SAC0307 size should I buy?

The 30 g syringe is for hand dispensing and rework — use 20G–22G needles. The 50 g jar is for stencil printing. For pitches under 0.5 mm, choose SAC305 Type 5. Both use the same Type 4 (20–38 µm) paste with no-clean ROL0 flux.
